Soil & Groundwater Remediation Management

Soil and groundwater are the last layers subject to environmental impacts and are often polluted by inappropriate discharge, leakage or disposal of wastewater, emissions, wastes or toxic substances. The effective management of soil and groundwater pollution has become a critical focus in recent years, emphasizing the use of information system tools throughout all monitoring stages, including investigation, assessment, remediation, and pollution prevention monitoring.

EGIT has actively collaborated with the Ministry of Environment on numerous large-scale projects. This collaboration has resulted in extensive experience in the investigation, verification and management of various types of sites, including agricultural and industrial areas. Our expertise in managing groundwater monitoring wells has enabled the team to provide the central government with comprehensive insights into site conditions through temporal and spatial analysis. In addition, the implementation of management tools has streamlined local government operations related to site notification, verification processes, and improvement efforts.

Our approach to advancing comprehensive soil and groundwater management initiatives includes the use of GIS and handheld field investigation tools. These tools facilitate the integration of multiple data sources, allowing us to provide a comprehensive set of management tools and diverse solutions. These include contamination potential analysis, environmental investigations, public notifications, remediation improvements, verification delisting, and verification tracking. Visualized dashboard monitoring further enhances data presentation and understanding.

The investigation and remediation of soil and groundwater contamination often requires fieldwork or on-site operations, which presents challenges such as inconsistent recording methods, time-consuming operations, and challenging field environments. In response, EGIT offers a handheld interface information collection system solution. This innovative approach allows tasks such as soil sampling surveys, site management, monitoring well inspections and resin bag distribution to be performed offline during field operations. The system is an effective and accurate tool that provides responsible units with streamlined and accurate support for their work.
