Resource Circulation Management

Amid the promotion of resource circulation policy planning and management, the focus on maximizing material resources has shifted from waste management to the material life cycle. To this end, Taiwan has formulated specific policies for four major materials, including biomass, plastics, inorganic materials, and metals and chemicals. The goal is to maximize resource recovery and minimize waste.

Inorganic Resource Flow Management

EGIT supports the Industrial Development Administration by implementing GPS satellite vehicle positioning management technology and GIS monitoring dashboard. These tools are designed to enhance the effective and accurate management of the transportation and disposal of inorganic aggregate. They facilitate the electronic reporting of joint deliveries, record transportation details, and send email alerts for any abnormal activities or status. Additionally, the system enables the tracking and comparison of historical transport and disposal trajectories to prevent the misuse of recycled products, strengthen environmental risk control, and establish a foundation for long-term material flow management at the industrial level.

Plastic Resource Recycle Management

EGIT assists government agencies in understanding the plastic life cycle by systematically integrating information on the current state of plastic distribution in the country. This includes estimating breakpoints and links between the overall cycles, establishing a plastic recycling database, and creating a platform for the plastic resource recycling website. The platform includes nationwide distribution maps, industry information maps on plastic materials/products, and the development of industry tools such as the Plastic Industry Material Source Map and the Recycled Product Review Management System. In coordination with the overall recycling and reuse, the system visualizes key indicators to effectively grasp the supply chain distribution landscape. EGIT aligns with industries in laying the foundation for plastic flow management to contribute toward a net-zero future.
